Medicine Jar is the result of years of collaboration between Jason Wall and Greg Knight. The debut album, “New Awakening”, is the combination of talents from Jason Wall, Greg Knight and Natalie Trembath. The mixture of backgrounds has resulted in some interesting and unique song writing. With various influences and backgrounds from the individual members extending from Jazz, classical, heavy meal and classic rock, the new album delivers a wide range of varied styles from smooth mellow acoustic to heavy rock, with a blend of flavor in between. The album was recorded over three days in Melbourne at Toyland Studios and mastered in Eden Sound Studios. With 12 songs making the album, and a variety of different styles combining electric/acoustic guitars, and vocal harmonies rounding out a commercial style in the vein of Nickleback, Green Day and more local musicians like Bernard Fanning/Alex Loyd. Medicine Jar is more that just a bunch of people playing songs, rather a group of musicians dedicated to providing a high level of entertainment and a conscientious approach to creating good quality music. |
